I just bought one of those external cases but for a lot more than 15 bucks. But because I am a cheap jew I kept the receipt and it will be returned. Sense you’ve gone to an Oracle school or program, I know you said to get a book but are the classes worth it? I mean really worth it? As far as I can tell it basically just SQL statements.

1) Work Paid = worth my time
2) If i was paying, I would not have taken the class
3) Yes it was a ton of PL SQL
If I had to pay I would do it on my own. You can download the programs for free. Buy a book, or get it some other way that a priate could never say in public ;) Spark up a few VMs and knock it out. That just me though, some people need a class, I like reading tech books, I may be a geek, but mike reads more tech books than me ;) he is a bigger geek.
