How to get Safari on an unactivated iPhone

Filed under: ArmoryTech.com, Apple, Hacking — Administrator @ 2:53 pm

1. enter *#307# press call, now use the back button on the top of your screen to remove *#307# , now enter 0 , press call, press answer, press hold, press decline. And you get to the contact list. And thereafter every time you push the homebutton you just slide the “emergency call” slide, then enter 0 , press call, press hold, press decline

2. Push contacts, end call and you get called again, this time hit decline and you access one of menus with favorites, you can edit contacts, do a test ride on keyboard, take photos etc.

3. Now edit a new contact and type in http://jailbreakme.com as web-address.

4. When you tap the address safari opens but only displays an error saying that it cannot access the website, it also looks like safari freezes up.

5. Now press the home button, and for a split second the iPhone shows a screen where you can select wi-fi networks. Now you have to be really quick and select a network before the phone freezes.

6. Next you get Back to the “emergency call page” and every on screen button has frozen so the only thing you can do is turn off the phone.

7. Turn the iPhone off then on again

8. Now you can go back to the contact list by Dialing 0, push call, then answer, then contacts, then hit that web address you typed in.

This is from http://www.jailbreakme.com/

Check out AppSnapp installer,  Kudos for this jailbreak go to metasploit, rezn, dinopio, drudge, kroo, pumpkin, davidc, dunham, and NerveGas.

18% of all iPhone are unlocked

Filed under: ArmoryTech.com, Apple, Hacking — Malt Liquor @ 2:10 pm

bad AppleAccording to Tim Cook, Apple’s COO, there are approximately 250,000 unlocked iPhones.  In a recent article from pcword.com, the evil empire Apple “will forcefully counter all attempts to unlock the AT&T connection in iPhones.”   Cook has warned that hacked iPhones will no longer function.
It is not right that Apple has the ability to go into your phone with the sole reason to undo any modification you may have made.  I understand if new phones sold can’t be unlocked.  At $400, people should have the choice of how to use their phone.  This just tells me that you don’t truly own your phone; Apple does and you are a renter.
This is all because AT&T is paying Apple $18 dollars per cell phone per month.  Even if you don’t have an iPhone, but you have an AT&T phone, part of your bill is used to cover this.

Hackers Crack iPhone Again

Filed under: ArmoryTech.com, Apple, Hacking — Malt Liquor @ 9:00 pm

iphoneLet me start with the code.  Click Here (yes this is real complie at your own risk)

Today hacker HD Moore has proven that they can add code to an iPhone from the web or e-mail.  This code takes advantage of a vulnerability in the TIFF image rendering library found in Safari browser on the iPhone.  This vulnerability is comparable to the one that was used to unlock the iPhone with one huge difference; this code is designed to write arbitrary code to the phone.
http://www.apple.com/hotnews/ has no report on this but you can bet Apple is JRwriting and update right now.  Hackers like HD Moore make the world a safer place. MetaSploit.com has detailed this whole process.  If that’s not 31337 what is?  We raise the Jolly Roger in respect!
