Last month the XBOX 360 sold 527,800 finally outselling the Wii, which sold 501,000 units. Meanwhile, Sony only sold 119,400 PlayStation 3s. Sony gamers often argue that the PS3 will show it’s strength as developers learn how to make games for it, but will this ever happen? According to Dean Takahashi from mercurynews.com, Sony pleaded with third-party developers not to abandon its struggling platform. The PlayStation 3 has gained a reputation of being a very hard platform to program games for.
Nexgenwars.com currently shows 12 million XBOX 360s, 11.9 million Wii systems and 4.9 Million PlayStation3s. People buy game systems because of the games. The big question is, will game makers bypass working on PS3 games to make Wii and XBOX games because they are easier to program and have a larger user base?
Sony we are pulling for you… and it has nothing to do with your controllers fitting in the Armory so well.
